> Local-first tool that turns talking-head, interview and podcast videos into vertical 9:16 Arabic news-style reels. Ships as a Claude Code Skill & Plugin and as a standalone browser studio. One-time price, no subscription.

## What it does
- Finds the best 25–60 s moments in long videos (hooks, questions, numbers, voice energy, clean endings) and cuts them into shorts.
- Transcribes Arabic (MSA and dialects), English and French with word-level timing (Whisper, on-device).
- Animates headlines with the Arabic kashida stretch, adds ؟/! accents, synced captions, a typed name lower-third, a looping logo frame, a progress bar and a branded outro on the blurred last frame.
- Reframes 16:9 footage to 9:16 by tracking faces.
- Turns any spoken number into an animated count-up, and adds "attention moments": a black-and-white freeze frame with a push-in on the speaker's face.
- Lets you proofread by ear: play any caption line on its own, or the whole clip with the current line highlighted.
- Broadcast sound kit (layered hits, whooshes, typing, outro pop-up); every export levelled to -14 LUFS / -1.5 dBTP.
- Writes a title, description and hashtags for every clip (offline, or sharper with an optional Anthropic API key).

## How to use
- Claude Code: `/plugin marketplace add ./NewsMotion`, `/plugin install newsmotion@bilsimaging`, then drop a video and type `/newsmotion`.
- Without Claude: run `NewsMotion.bat` (Windows) or `python3 skills/newsmotion/scripts/nm.py studio` (macOS/Linux).

## Requirements
Windows, macOS or Linux · Python 3.10+ · Node.js 22+ · FFmpeg · no GPU needed. Videos never leave the computer.

## Captions, licence and refunds
